( With the pieces of paper floating around it isn't hard to grab a sheet and a marker pen to make the sign for the door, commandeering one of the labs for the meeting. Kitty had waited until it had gotten dark before putting the sign on the door. Hopefully someone else would turn up - would see either the sign or her post it note. There were three people that Kitty at least knew knew of it. N, and two strangers.
Waiting Kitty took to looking around the lab, more making room and pulling out chairs than looking around. Although they'd probably have to clear them away again for any displays. Like running.
When the door to the lab opens Kitty is quick to turn around, a smile ready for whoever walks through the door. This is exciting. It has to be a good thing, right? Solidarity in unfamiliar and unnatural situations. Safety in numbers - and knowing that they're all safe. That maybe they could do something to help )
Hey. I'm Kitty.
( Well that was out of the way. Did they wait for others or just get on with it? )

If he's addressed, he'll respond shortly, sticking out his hand to shake.)) Nico di Angelo. Nice to meet you. ((Though the tone of his voice suggests that his words are merely a pleasantry, not something sincere.))

( It wasn't really a question, although him saying the name did make her pause for a second. Kitty stepped forward to shake his hand, silently thinking on the name. She hadn't heard any names of anyone here yet- not really talking to many people but- )
Are you N? On the post-its?
( It's a guess, but since he showed up and she's talked to an 'N' )

I'm- the son of Hades. ((It'd probably be pretentious to add the Ghost King, so he leaves it at that.)) And you're?

He seemed cool, though his mom seemed kinda sour about the guy.
Still, he figured it'd be kind of cool to meet other people powered like he is, and if they turned out to be Mister/Miss Superiority, then he could always just speed out of there and forget that they ever existed. And he's pretty good at running away from his problems, so it shouldn't be too bad—
But, well, he's sped his way into the room already, so there's no backing out now. Excuse him if he crashes into something - sometimes it's kind of difficult to stop when he's going too quickly. ]
Kitty. Are you the one who I was writing the post-its to? Kinda makes sense that you'd be the first person I would run into here. Unless you're not, then this is gonna be kinda awkward, especially since I haven't spoken to anyone else who might be powered, or whatever it is we're calling it. But, still, I'm Peter. The speedy guy. Hey.
no subject
Yeah, I'm the one with the post its. And since you know Magneto- maybe you know mutants?
( Because Magneto and that speed. It had to be mutants. Maybe other powered people here weren't - N had mentioned demigods - but at least she, and maybe him, are )
And that was really fast.

[ Safety is the priority, after all. He isn't about to jump in with someone that's going to go around spreading rumours and causing more hatred to spread. He's had enough of that after getting all mutants banned from participating in the Olympics (and it was an accident, okay?) But Kitty seems nice enough, and considering she's a mutant as well - probably - he doubts that she'll go telling everyone and their mothers. ]
Well, I did say I was fast. It'd be pretty bad of me if I said I was but then it turned out I wasn't, y'know? And I wouldn't offer to go on runs for people if I couldn't actually make it. Talk about false hope.
[ And okay, sometimes he really needs to shut up. ]

Hello! My name is Aradia Megido. It's very nice to meet you.
no subject
I'm glad that you came. I didn't know if anyone would.
( She may not have if she hadn't put the sign up. Even though mutants were out at home they still had to be careful. Some places they might not have even come out )
ota
But that doesn't make her sociable. She lingers at the back of the room, her fingers still covered in black symbols as she idly fusses with the contents of her pockets.
She can't even remember how old the handful of leaves she's holding is, but she doesn't want out throw them out in case she can't replace them. So rather than focusing on what anyone's saying, Ollie ends up rifling through cabinets in the lab, trying to find a mortar and pestle.
One day she's going to learn manners.]
ota
Looking for something? ((It's meant to sound encouraging, like Nico's willing to help. Instead, with his dark gaze and defensive posture, it comes out dismissive at best.))
no subject
So she isn't too bothered by his tone.]
Mortar and pestle.
[She signs it at first, but follows it quickly with a mime of what exactly a mortar and pestle involves, since she's had mixed luck with signing.]

Kaneki stands in front of the lab's door, hand reaching for it, but he stops himself as he replays in his mind all the reasons not to open that door, for the billionth time. He also has reasons why he SHOULD open that door, such as the need to find a familiar and friendly face. But in the end, all the reasons he come up to are not enough to erase his growing fear.
He is going to be sick.
And finally Kaneki oh so very slowly opens the door only to peek inside. Just to peek and see if there is anyone he knows there; maybe he won't be noticed and he will leave as soon as he is done looking.
Yeah. A good plan.
This is awful, what is he doing, this is dangerous, he will get killed, he should leave. NOW. ]

[Charles reads through the notes and knows there's a mutant out there looking for solidarity. That, or someone trying to make sure all the mutants here end up in one place, but he's making the effort towards optimism now. There is hope, and practically, he should be there whether it's a trap or not. He can read the intentions of 'K', and help mutants, however that might best be done.
There's a tangential familiarity about K, when he finds the right room. An echo of something he knows somehow. He doesn't sense anything jarring, or not in earnest, though, and Peter (as he'd correctly assumed) is there as well, and fine. He moves his hand from his temple to the doorknob, and enters.]
Kitty.
[An acknowledgement of her name. But he does know after all, he realises. A vision of her among happy students from his older self, her presence by Logan's head, sending him back in time. He's stunned for a moment before he rallies, levels his most professorial smile at her. It's a little undermined by looking like an unshaven hippie.]
This...may prove difficult to believe, but I'm Charles Xavier.
Everyone else
[After speaking with Kitty, he moves about the room, introducing himself, doing his best to encourage people to tell him of their powers. He's rusty at this, true, but he'll have to learn his way with it again if he wants things to be as they were. He tells people he's a mutant, at least. That's important. He's not as immediately forthcoming as to the nature of his powers, but he'll tell anyone who asks.]

When Charles approaches, he'll barely glance away from the beakers and pipettes he's toying with.)) Nico. Demigod. We should've made "hello, my name is" stickers.
no subject
[He might as well just read everyone and plant the information of his name into their mind, Charles thinks. If there's to be an introduction, then it should be more than pertinent information on a list.]
Are there any other demigods here? [Because you look very young and he's concerned, Nico.]

When Charles approaches her, she signs:]
O-l-l-i-e
[But with the look of someone who doesn't expect to be understood.]

A pleasure to meet you, Ollie. [He hesitates a moment, then. It would be kindest and easiest for Ollie if he explained, probably, but not the easiest for him... She'll have to learn sooner or later, he supposes. Everyone will. He might as well get it out of the way.]
You can just speak to me up here [a flicker of fingers demonstratively by his temple] if you want, rather than signing. Whatever's easiest for you.
[ooc: let me know if her magic would defend against his telepathy and I'll edit if necessary]
this is fine!

Knowing what they were going to do and actually meeting the man from the past- except she hadn't gone to the past, not by the sign on the door. Well, not as much in the past as when he was from. Actually having Xavier here? Any form of him? It was always a spirit booster - Kitty would always believe in him )
Not that difficult. ( Although since he was from the past- would he know about the future? Had he met Logan yet and learned all of that? She hadn't done anything yet so she didn't expect it ) It's good to see you again Professor.
( Again, for the first time- it makes her smile at least )
no subject
And you. [Even though it really had been only "seeing".] I doubt I'll have another chance like this one--thank you for everything, truly. I can't tell you whether or not everything has worked out, especially not while we're stuck here, but at the very least you've helped Raven and me.

He waits for some time Xavier is alone before he approaches, and of course he doesn't make a sound on his way over. But he does keep a thought at the forefront of his mind, an obvious presentation to anyone that might happen to be using telepathy: Hello, professor. ]

technically, scott has powers. but he doesn't think he really qualifies, when the smattering of conversation he'd had centered around a whole different kind of power. nothing had seemed all that different until genetics had come into play, and scott's never really found out the mechanics of lycanthropy.
but he's shown up anyway, lingering around the fringe of the assembly with an eye on the door. this would be easier to do with company, but scott hadn't wanted to drag anyone with him. ]
I'm Scott. Hi.

still, there's no need to be impolite. --he doesn't quite smile, but his expression eases slowly, and he offers a polite, brief bow of his head. ]
My name is Noa. It's nice to meet you. [ well, under the circumstances. he hesitates, then gestures toward kitty. ] You're a mutant..? [ he'd taken care to follow all the sticky-note conversations before ultimately deciding to come. he's not quite sure what 'mutant' really means in this context, but he assumes it's something fantastical, like in a manga. ]
