Well, actually it's not. It's raining—hard. Is it supposed to be? Who knows. But there's a thunderstorm rolling in, and zombies aren't immune to being struck by lightning.

Really, though—there's nothing entirely extraordinary about tonight. It's what you choose to make of it.

[It's not mocking, just sort of amused, as Steph gets to use feet and dusts her hands off on her cape.]

If you actually know how to use a gun, I can get you one.

Was it terribly obvious? [Her tone is half dry, half bright. Somehow.] How long have you been here, that I've taken the "new" position?

[But then she looks appropriately and quietly smug.] Of course I know how to use one - I usually have one on me to begin with, but I've found that wasn't the case when I woke up here. I'd like to fix that.

About a month, give or take.

[She knows the exact amount of days, but "a month" covers it well enough that she doesn't see the point in elaborating.]

And they do that, I got lucky with my weapons. You okay with heading outside the compound? I can keep you safe until we get to my weapons stash.

[If the woman would prefer to stay, Steph can always go out and bring it back, but something tells her that she'll have company on this trip.]
