(OPEN) COMMUNITY MESSAGE BOARD @ STARTER BASE
▶ WHO: Everyone!!
▶ DATE: July 9th 2015
▶ WARNINGS: none thus far
▶ SUMMARY: A place to share your ic infos, if you please! Thomas is a freaking busy body, and he wants to get all the clues about this place gathered up, so he's going to start writing stuff he's found/woke up with onto a wall in one of the labs, and leave notes around the compound for others to do the same.
[ in one of the lab rooms, you'll find a message (possibly with more messages) scrawled on one of the walls (literally ON TO it, with either pen or a marker). it reads: ]

[ because thomas is super good about being specific. and communicative. but basically, that's what he's posting here - notes. clues, useful information, curious things - information. the advantage the gladers had in getting out of the maze was that they were united, and cooperating for the same goal. thomas doesn't know anyone here, and only has maybe two pieces of what's a much larger puzzle. he needs the rest.
so, around the compound, you'll find scraps of paper that have been taped or pinned to walls (or written directly onto them) that read in the same handwriting: ]
SEE LAB ROOM [[ ROOM NUMBER HERE ]] FOR INFO
IF YOU FOUND SOMETHING, WRITE IT DOWN
[ again, he is awesome at being verbose. if your character decides to investigate the room, they'll find thomas's notes already pinned or written onto the wall, plus whatever is left in the comments below. thomas himself will likely be around more often than not, reading things, scrawling stuff of paper, looking contemplative, or being passed the fuck out in a corner, if they want to bug him. ]
[[ ooc; okay so thomas is a nut, and also i thought we could use an icly set up means for characters to share the clues they woke up with/stuff they found/whatever other information about stuff going down. if you want, put up a top level for the actual note your dude/dudette is leaving, and idk people can tag into it if they want to seek your character out and bug them? or write notes under the note you left? idefk, let's do stuff, go wild???
PS, IF YOU WANT THE TL;DR VERSION OF THIS, i tried organizing an IC list that Thomas would have made over here. It's not perfect, so don't consider that like end all be all, but thought it might help. ]]

green post-it, not so neat handwriting.
a really ugly nickname
but still a nickname
[The mystery thickens........]
wanted for murder?
the id had a picture but it was also burned off
[Which means: It's possible both the paper and the ID were recovered from a fire.]
no subject
[Plus, "wanted for murder" doesn't sound reassuring.]
Where was the fire? Obviously not here. I am also seconding your question re: the location of Cazemoria.
no subject
before he and whoever lived in this place moved on to greener pastures that is
[He's keeping the fact he heard a fire upon waking up to himself. He's not sure if it's related to this, or just to the fact he's been, uh. Blown up before.]
do you still have the paper?
no subject
[For now.]
Yes. Do you want to meet and perhaps pore over it?
no subject
yes
we can go green and tone down on the post-its while we're at it
no subject
A sensible idea.
If you are free then, I'll meet you at the vehicle bay tomorrow at 12 noon. The windows can give us the best lighting.
no subject
who should i be looking for? i'm afraid i'm not a big fan of guessing
no subject
You are?
[ooc; do you want to continue into action spam in this thread? :)]
no subject
cox
i'll come to you
( ooc: works for me! )

[In one hand, she held the piece of paper that she and Cox were going to pore over. She hoped that maybe two people's perspectives on the subject would illuminate a few things.]

At 12:05, he pretends to have walked in through the main entrance, wearing civvies and waving a lazy hand at her. The hood of his sweatshirt is up, just because.]
Hi. Claire, right?
no subject
Yes, that's me. You must be Mr. Cox. It's nice to meet you in person.
[She reached out to give his hand a shake.]
no subject
But he's shaking her hand, nonetheless.]
Mr. Cox? What did I do to earn that formality? Just Cox is fine.
[... Well. At least he can have a promising, alternative career in acting.]
no subject
Right.
[She wasted no time commenting on that, and she held up the paper for him to inspect.]
This is what I found when I woke up in this place.
[As she'd said, all it had was "HAVE YOU SEEN MONTGO" and "WANTED FOR MU", while the rest of it was charred off.]
no subject
Seems to me like whoever brought us here thinks they're Santa Claus.
[Mostly an observation, but it's still kind of an odd pattern. Why leave behind clues like this? Not that he's complaining, but.]
So, recounting what we know. One: Montgomery Rick, born in Cazemoria, possibly a prior resident of this compound... Maybe wanted for murder, assuming we haven't tied the noose around our necks while playing hangman. [Because without the rest of that sentence, it's impossible to know for sure.] Two: There was a fire. Not here, clearly, since we still have a roof over our heads. But maybe in Hollows [unlikely], or — here's a wild thought, in Cazemoria.
[Well. Someone's been thinking a lot about all of this. It's impossible not to, with such a big mystery on their hands.]
But what I'm interested in knowing now is, how long ago was that written?
no subject
I agree with you on everything that you've said. However, I must add: there was another piece of information I found while looking through the post-its. It said, "Monty knows how to fix the fire."
If, indeed, Monty is Montgomery, and he's wanted for murder, it may have been because of an act of negligence rather than homicide.
What I want to know is where is this Cazemoria and how is it relevant to our situation right now?
[Claire looked at the piece of paper in her hand, turning it over pensively.]
Without the right equipment, we won't be able to tell how old this is.
