The puppy nips at Ellie's fingers playfully, tail thumping softly against Rikki's chest.

Rikki frowns at the puppy, and then back at the compound. That hadn't occurred to her before, but...

"Huh. You're right. Maybe something happened to her. Whatever happened to the rest of this place...?"

Though she's not entirely sure anything did happen. It's empty, but she hasn't seen any damage, any bodies, any blood besides maybe on the door. None of this makes sense.
