When she won her Game, she won it on her own, and her one and only experience with an alliance was with Katniss Everdeen and ended pretty shitty. The chances of some guy being able to help her--a guy who's more than okay to look at but who is still just as much a prisoner as she is, and who probably knows about as much as she does (maybe a little more, probably a little less)--are pretty slim.
All of this thought happens in just a few short seconds. Outwardly, she lets her eyes round a little. She's leaned in a little closer, to catch his words--not so close that he'll be able to see her weapon just yet. "Do you think there's a way out? I've never been in a place like this, but I've been looking--I can't find anything. You're the first person I've seen, but I heard all this screaming, and-- when I woke up, I was alone. I didn't even have clothes, I found these--" She plucks at the leg of her jumpsuit, dolefully-- "later."
This would be a great chance for him to reassure her. And maybe the topic of the bag will come up without her having to call attention to it. The less she says about it, the easier it will be to snatch.
