He nods once and glances away, back to a row of earmuffs he's just discovered and can't work out a use for, because he's essentially out of other things to look at it. It's the sort of vague yes given when one doesn't want to encourage the line of questioning. He can write, it's just not the most dignified thing in the world to be scrawling down answers on little scraps of paper.
That said, though, he does see an awful lot of paper around... for targets and score-keeping, he assumes. And it would be nice to know her name. Maybe she'll volunteer it for him.
