Tries to put that forensic scientist background to work by collecting bits of evidence, wishing he had a camera or plastic bags or test-tubes or swabs - you know, the very, very basic stuff - to record some of this stuff for comparison. Not that he's got a lab or anything to study it all, but it's hard to kick off the scientist instinct.
It's when he reaches the front doors for the fifth or sixth time that he spots a familiar figure standing there, examining the sign he's seen and read (and re-read) a few times now. There's a bag of shoes dropped with a broken up thump at his feet when he lets go, heart pounding with relief. He has no idea what's happening here or why or how, but seeing Iris here, god, it's a relief.
It's a terrifying, complicated relief, but it's a relief.
She's okay.
Whatever brought him here made sure she was with him too. If anything, they can figure some of this out together; he's learned his lesson now, he's not going to keep her in the dark if he can help it. (And now all he has to do is worry about whether Cisco and Caitlin and Joe are okay too.)
