the words echo in her mind as she slowly opens her eyes and stares up at the light swinging precariously overhead. her eyes move back and forth with it a few times before the realization hits her that she doesn't know this place. and that's when wide-eyed panic starts to set in. it's not quite as the level one would think though. she's not as panicked as she should be, even though the wide-eyes do say otherwise.
given the variety of meta-humans she's seen since barry woke up from his coma, the meta-humans who are all still out there with who knows what kind of abilities and the giant hole that was ripped in the sky, why wouldn't she suddenly find herself in a place she doesn't know? ]
The toxin is working...
[ caitlin quickly scrambles to her feet and running through a mental generalized checklist of symptoms associated with most toxins. she feels fine though. about as fine as she could be right now, at least. of course that means nothing for slow acting toxins or ones that doesn't present themselves the same way as others. there's any number of toxins that the disembodied voice could have been talking about, and without knowing which, as well as without proper testing, it's a very needle in a haystack sort of situation.
though the voice did say that it was working. that would likely mean that she'd feel something already if it was used on her. which it may not even have been. she shakes her head. she's going to drive herself crazy with what are essentially what ifs. deal with what's right in front of you caitlin, then worry about the rest.
she frantically searches through the room, finding nothing truly remarkable aside from a bag of riesen ( odd ) and a file folder with her name on page after page. it makes her feel a little... uncomfortable is a good work for it. there's a time and a place for a file like this, and she isn't entirely sure this is one of them. she clutches the folder tightly ( and also grabs the bag of chocolate candy. it's so out of place that she can't help but take it! ) and heads into the hallway.
medical wing
maybe there she can find something that'll answer some questions she has, or better yet, someone.
she can be found there looking through things, and grabbing anything small enough that she can shove into her purse ( where the file folder and the bag of candy have since gone ). a girl can never have too many medical bits in her purse, after all! ]
