THOMAS (apocalyptic chihuahua and social disaster) ([personal profile] shuckit) wrote in [community profile] jumpscares2015-07-11 02:53 pm

(OPEN) COMMUNITY MESSAGE BOARD @ STARTER BASE

▶ WHO: Everyone!!
▶ DATE: July 9th 2015
▶ WARNINGS: none thus far
▶ SUMMARY: A place to share your ic infos, if you please! Thomas is a freaking busy body, and he wants to get all the clues about this place gathered up, so he's going to start writing stuff he's found/woke up with onto a wall in one of the labs, and leave notes around the compound for others to do the same.

[ in one of the lab rooms, you'll find a message (possibly with more messages) scrawled on one of the walls (literally ON TO it, with either pen or a marker). it reads: ]

[ because thomas is super good about being specific. and communicative. but basically, that's what he's posting here - notes. clues, useful information, curious things - information. the advantage the gladers had in getting out of the maze was that they were united, and cooperating for the same goal. thomas doesn't know anyone here, and only has maybe two pieces of what's a much larger puzzle. he needs the rest.

so, around the compound, you'll find scraps of paper that have been taped or pinned to walls (or written directly onto them) that read in the same handwriting: ]

SEE LAB ROOM [[ ROOM NUMBER HERE ]] FOR INFO

IF YOU FOUND SOMETHING, WRITE IT DOWN

[ again, he is awesome at being verbose. if your character decides to investigate the room, they'll find thomas's notes already pinned or written onto the wall, plus whatever is left in the comments below. thomas himself will likely be around more often than not, reading things, scrawling stuff of paper, looking contemplative, or being passed the fuck out in a corner, if they want to bug him. ]

[[ ooc; okay so thomas is a nut, and also i thought we could use an icly set up means for characters to share the clues they woke up with/stuff they found/whatever other information about stuff going down. if you want, put up a top level for the actual note your dude/dudette is leaving, and idk people can tag into it if they want to seek your character out and bug them? or write notes under the note you left? idefk, let's do stuff, go wild???

PS, IF YOU WANT THE TL;DR VERSION OF THIS, i tried organizing an IC list that Thomas would have made over here. It's not perfect, so don't consider that like end all be all, but thought it might help. ]]

ATTN: people who dealt with zombie bullshit on a daily basis before waking up here

should we get together and do some kind of Zombie Virus 101 for the people here who don't know what the hell they're doing?
or should we just hope they read all these post-its and let them figure it out on their own

[ Wichita's pretty much the last person to want to hold a charity event, but she's not exactly heartless. so, yay for the anonymity of these notes. she makes sure to write this one in all blocky caps, unlike her usual messy scrawl she used before ]

we can hash that out. cover all our bases. no zombie left behind.

i just think it's better than leaving people to dick around and hope for the best.

probably, but I don't think there's any helping the ones who want to ~~save~~ the infected.

usually it just takes one encounter with a particularly hungry zed to get them to realize it's never going to happen.
which is always disgusting, but whatever works.

hopefully they'll learn sooner instead of later

and not bring any bitten back here.

i've spent the last six months fighting against people that had been infected with a virus that made them sort of like zombies, except worse because some of these things were mutated beyond fucking belief and weird creature things instead of just normal, undead people. does that count?
cons: (☢ i know something u don't know)

[personal profile] cons 2015-07-17 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
sounds like my world, minus the mutations. my zombies are literally a result of what happens when mad cow disease evolves into mad people disease.

yeah, it's as stupid as it sounds.

my world went to shit because a dumb guy bit into the wrong dumb cheeseburger.

they're not "undead" though, they're just really sick.
which is sad, but you kind of get over that when they're trying to eat your face.
cons: (☢ y-you mean it?)

[personal profile] cons 2015-07-17 06:15 am (UTC)(link)
that's why i put this up first instead of trying to hold a meeting all by myself.
not just because i'm not a good public speaker, but cause i've noticed there's a lot of information being passed around.

it's usually better not to run anywhere, actually.
you run, they chase. you trip, they eat.
stick with the second part - stealthy is better.
cons: (☢ uhhh)

[personal profile] cons 2015-07-19 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
depends on your definition of stupid, i guess. the ones in my world only cared about eating. they were always hungry. and always angry. the virus messed with their heads, so that was all they could feel. no fear, no anything. they'd jump off a cliff if they thought they saw something alive at the bottom.

they don't really sound like zombies so much as
crazies? i don't know.
it sounds like what could have happened to the people in my world if the virus hadn't escalated as quickly as it did
not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing
